Rob Barber became CEO of RealtyTrac in 2015 and is responsible for executing the company’s mission to increase real estate transparency by arming businesses and consumers with the property data they need to make wise decisions. Rob is responsible for sales and operational performance in the company’s B2B division (RealtyTrac Data Solutions) and B2C divisions (realtytrac.com, homefacts.com and homedisclosure.com).
Rob has spent most of his career in the real estate information services industry. Prior to joining RealtyTrac, he was CEO of Environmental Data Resources (EDR) from 2005 to 2015 where he led EDR’s expansion from a data company into the leading workflow application, transaction platform and market intelligence company serving the U.S. commercial real estate due diligence industry. Rob is also a past board member at BuildFax, Landmark Information Group and the Content Division of the Software and Information Industry Association.
A graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in Political Science, Rob lives in Claremont, California.
Vice President and General Manager of Data Solutions
A 27 year veteran of the data and financial services industries, Richard Lombardi currently serves as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Data Solutions for RealtyTrac. In this role, Richard oversees the data sales, product development, database operations and database technology teams for RealtyTrac’s data solutions division.
Richard joined RealtyTrac in August 2015. Prior to joining RealtyTrac, Richard was Vice President of Data Solutions and Licensing at CoreLogic responsible for the overall sales strategy and field engagement within the National Licensing division. Prior to that, Richard was Director of Product Management and Development with Experian. While there, Richard’s team successfully managed an impressive 20 percent increase in sales for three consecutive years. Additionally, during his six years with Experian, he developed and helped implement an industry-leading triggers program for financial institutions that managed risk, retention and marketing programs. Richard has also held key executive positions with Westcorp as Vice President of Banking Operations and Vice President of Safety and Soundness.
Richard has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from California State University, Long Beach. He is presently active on the boards of a number of charitable organizations and is a recognized community leader.
Executive Vice President / GM Consumer Solutions
Michael Sawtell leads the company’s growing B2C division, developing strategy while managing the execution of all new growth opportunities. Michael brings over 15 years of senior executive online experience at multiple public companies.
Michael was formerly President / COO of Local Corporation twice, 2000-2005 and again in 2011- 2014 after Local acquired Rovion a digital media platform where Michael was Chairman/CEO. In 2004 Michael was instrumental in driving Local to an IPO, where the company raised $24M and was traded on Nasdaq for the next 15 years. Michael also was the founder of TheFamilyPost.com an award winning, digital media sharing platform that was founded in 2005.
Michael has held previous key operational positions with Informative Research, Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics.
Chief Financial Officer
When Cabell joined RealtyTrac as CFO in January 2006, he brought with him 15 years of prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer for several publicly traded companies.
Immediately prior to joining RealtyTrac, Cabell was the CFO for General Environmental Management, Inc. (GEM), a publicly traded hazardous waste management company. While there, he took the company public and established its SEC reporting infrastructure. Prior to GEM, Cabell was the CFO of both Kimco Staffing Services, Inc., a provider of temporary contract labor, and KimstaffHR, Inc., a professional employer organization (PEO) that provides a full human resource benefits and payroll outsourcing solution. The combined companies have revenues in excess of $140 million and approximately 5,000 employees.
Cabell also served as CFO of Independence One Bank of California. Cabell handled the sale of this $1 billion savings and loan on behalf of its owner, Michigan National Bank. Cabell began his career with Deloitte and Touche after graduating from the Indiana University School of Business in Bloomington, Ind., and passing the CPA exam. Cabell has a Masters Degree from the University of California at Irvine Graduate School of Management.
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Gary has 20 years’ experience acquiring top executive and management talent, as well as leading all human resource functions.
Prior to joining RealtyTrac in 2008, he held the top corporate executive human resources position at three global public organizations: Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Huck International and Fairchild Corporation (both Huck and Fairchild were acquired by Alcoa). He was also Southern California’s EVP and Managing Director of DHR International, a “top 5” global executive search firm.
Gary is a well-known authority on mergers and acquisitions, executive coaching, international business development and talent acquisition and training. He has spoken at national conferences and executive roundtables, and has been featured in business and human resources publications. He has taught as an adjunct instructor of undergraduate and graduate management courses at Pepperdine University, the University of Illinois, the University of California at Irvine and the University of Phoenix. He earned three degrees from the University of Illinois: a Doctorate in Administration and Supervision, a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Education. He also recently earned an MBA in international business.
Born and raised in Illinois, Gary and his wife Carla have lived in Huntington Beach for more than 20 years. They have three married daughters and six grandchildren.
Vice President, RealtyTrac
With RealtyTrac since 2001, Daren Blomquist has been instrumental in many facets of the company’s business as it has transformed into the industry leader it is today.
In addition to being one of the company’s longest-term employees, Daren is RealtyTrac’s primary media spokesperson and resident go-to expert on foreclosure statistics and other real estate trends.
Daren is directly responsible for the creation of the company’s U.S. foreclosure market and sales reports, which are cited by thousands of media outlets nationwide — including all the major news networks and leading publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and USA TODAY. He has been quoted in hundreds of national and local publications and has appeared on many national network broadcasts, including CBS, ABC, CNN, CNBC, FOX Business and Bloomberg.
In his position, Daren also interfaces with numerous government agencies at the national, state and local level and is a sought-after speaker at industry events, including in the past year at Inman Connect, U.S. Treasury Short Sale Training Events, REOMAC, FiveStar MPACT, Georgia Association of Realtors, California Mortgage Association, Mortgage Servicing News, Equity Trust Networking Conference, and many local real estate investor associations.
He is a graduate of Trinity International University in Chicago and holds a degree in English Communications.
