What you can find on RealtyTrac

• Pre-foreclosures: homes whose lender has filed a notice of default or lis pendens, before any auction.
• Foreclosure auctions: homes scheduled to be sold at a public foreclosure auction.
• Bank-owned (REO) homes: homes the lender took back after an auction and is now selling.
• Homes for sale: homes currently listed for sale.
• Recently sold homes: recent sales, for comparing prices.

Listings can be searched by state, county, city and ZIP code, and filtered by listing type, price, size and number of bedrooms.

The data behind each property

Property pages bring together the details a buyer or investor needs to size up a home: its estimated value and value history, tax history, loan and equity information, current ownership, transaction history and foreclosure status. Some owner, loan and contact details are available only to members with a free account or a subscription.

Market trends and research

Market trends track home values, sale prices and listing activity for states, counties, cities and ZIP codes. The Resources section publishes guides on buying foreclosures, financing, investing and state foreclosure laws, along with regular market reports.
