They renovated it and made the following improvements then: New wiring and plumbing, fresh paint, carpet, and also did work in the kitchen which is no longer there. The wonderful features in the old part of the home include built-ins, coffered ceilings, an arched entry into living area, all wood ceilings and floors, and more! There is still black and pink tile flooring in the old bathroom underneath the current floor. A new HVAC system was added in 1997. It was lower to the ground before Katrina and took on some water. When they added the new addition in 2007-2008, they had to raise the older part of the home. One of the bedrooms has a view of the river!
