Flood Risk Heat Map

This interactive heat map, based on a recent RealtyTrac Natural Disaster Report, displays that 43 percent of U.S. homes with an estimated market value of $6.6 trillion are in counties with a High natural disaster risk. The report identified natural disasters risks across the U.S. and categorized them based on severity. With a risk scale ranging from Very Low to Very High, RealtyTrac identified the counties affected by flooding. The top five counties with the most homes in High risk or Very High risk counties for floods are Harris County, TX (1,600,395), Miami-Dade County, FL (989,364), Santa Clara County, CA (632,299), Sacramento County, CA (555,536) and Hillsborough County, FL (536,002).
