Q4: How many pictures can I upload?

Answer: You can upload up to 10 pictures. For the best results, make sure the photos you upload are no bigger than 600 KB and have a horizontal orientation.

Q5: How much does it cost to post my property on RealtyTrac?

Q7: How can I be sure that my property is being viewed by other users?

Answer: You will be able to monitor your property’s activity report in My RealtyTrac. This report is updated daily and tells you how many people have viewed your property on our site. If you feel your property is not getting enough views, you can do two things.

  2. Upgrade to a Featured Home. For an additional $20 dollars per month, you can get your property automatically sent to the top of the search results page, allowing interested buyers searching For Sale By Owner homes in your zip code to see your property first. Q8: How can I get my property posted as a Featured Home?

Answer: For just an additional $20 dollars per month, you can list your property as a Featured Home on RealtyTrac. As a Featured Home, your listing automatically goes to the top of the search results page, allowing interested buyers searching for FSBOs in your zip code to see your property first.

Q9: Can I announce an open house on RealtyTrac?

Answer: Yes, simply go into My RealtyTrac and click the Open House tab under My Property Listing. After you enter all the appropriate information, your announcement will be displayed on your property details page for all RealtyTrac members to see.

Q10: Do I need a Professional AVM report?

Answer: It’s key to establish a home price that is not too high and definitely not too low, and a Professional AVM (Automated Valuation Model) can help you do this. Unlike a comparable sales report, which gives you sale prices of other homes in your neighborhood and allows you to draw your own conclusions about the value of your own home, a Professional AVM does the work for you, calculating an objective value of your home based on your home’s physical data (square footage, number of beds and baths) and neighborhood information (trends, repeat sales, geography). Q11: How do buyers contact me?

Answer: Depending on the preferences you choose when you sign up, buyers may contact you via e-mail, phone or fax. We advise listing your e-mail since buyers will more likely want to make contact with you using that method. However, buyers who want to move quickly are more likely to call, so if you don’t mind fielding phone calls, you may want to list your phone number. Whichever preference you choose upon signup, we recommend that you get in touch with a buyer within 24 to 48 hours after they contact you.


Q12: Can buyers request a showing on RealtyTrac?

Answer: Yes. Buyers can request a showing of your home on your property details page. Once a buyer fills out a request form, you will receive a buyer’s lead via e-mail that contains the buyer’s contact information as well as the buyer’s requested dates to see your home. Because it’s important to get in touch with interested buyers sooner rather than later, we recommend that you contact all buyers within 24 to 48 hours after receiving the lead form.


Q13: How do I log into My RealtyTrac to view/edit my FSBO property listing?

Answer: Log in with your entire e-mail address and Password under Member Login at the top of the home page, www.realtytrac.com. After logging in you will be taken directly to My RealtyTrac, where you can view and edit your listing information, your property’s description, and your photos. Forgot your login/password?

 
Q14: How do I cancel my FSBO posting on RealtyTrac?

Answer: Removing your FSBO listing from our site is easy.

  1. Simply log in with Username and Password.
  2. In My RealtyTrac, under the Property Listing tab, click on “Remove Listing.”
  3. You will be asked to confirm your request to remove your listing. Once you have done so, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.

Once your FSBO posting has been removed, you will still retain your RealtyTrac Membership, which gives you access to more than 500,000 nationwide listings. You can also post another property for Free.
