Executive has Led Company to Numerous Awards, Including Recognition by the
Orange County Business Journal as one of the 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies

IRVINE, Calif. – Oct. 26, 2007 – James J. Saccacio, Chief Executive Officer of RealtyTrac™ (, the nation’s leading online marketplace for foreclosure properties, was named one of the hottest 25 people in Orange County today by OC METRO magazine in its annual “Hot 25” list of the 25 individuals who have made the biggest impact in the community during the year. Since joining RealtyTrac as CEO in 2000, Saccacio has turned around the once floundering dot-com into a multi-million dollar, award-winning company that consistently ranks among the five most visited real estate websites in the country.

Every year since its founding in 1990, OC METRO has selected 25 individuals around Orange County who have made significant contributions to one of the fastest growing counties in Southern California. Some are well-established movers and shakers, while others are new to the horizon, but already demonstrating leadership and influence in the community.

“I am grateful and honored to be selected by OC METRO magazine for this list, alongside so many other influential individuals from our great county,” Saccacio said. “I certainly wouldn’t be in this position without a lot of help — from my family, RealtyTrac employees and many others in the community. Since taking over the reins of RealtyTrac I have strived to maintain a family atmosphere for our employees while steering the company to a high level of national recognition and credibility. It has already grown far beyond where even I thought it would be in such a short period of time.”

After years spent in the financial world learning how to evaluate and measure risk while working for Bank of America, Saccacio became a risk taker himself as a corporate turnaround specialist, assisting small business owners in righting their sinking ships. Today as an entrepreneur Saccacio still enjoys helping up-and-coming entrepreneurs, as well as his employees at RealtyTrac, to realize their full potential.

“It gives me great pleasure investing in the lives of other people, both within and outside the company,” Saccacio said. “I get charged up when I see entrepreneurs coming to me and asking me to help them because they’ve seen the success we’ve had at RealtyTrac. It allows me to give back by sharing the experiences I’ve had, both positive and negative, to streamline success for others.”

The “Hot 25 2007” recognition is the latest in a number of prestigious awards Saccacio and RealtyTrac have garnered in little more than a year. Earlier this month the Orange County Business Journal named RealtyTrac No. 35 on their Top 100 list of Fast-Growing Private Companies. And just last week RealtyTrac was ranked No. 4 on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 list of the fastest growing companies in Orange County. In addition, Saccacio was named a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 award program earlier this year.
